SAND DUST This residue is produced by the usual foundry operations, which create dust subsequently collected by a dust collector system. This dust is either transported with the molding sand rejects, or, in some foundries, is transported via an air pipeline, which stores the material in a tanker trailer. This dust is virtually identical to sand, but with a much finer grain size.
